Recent studies worldwide have indicated the great influence of densely built urban areas on the formation of regional climatic conditions and particularly on the determination of the microclimate. The evaluation of human comfort in outdoor urban spaces and the identification of the parameters determining the microclimate in such areas are among the main aims of the research project "Rediscovering the urban realm and open spaces" (RUROS).
