International competition for architects.
The Technical Chamber of Greece (TCG) and the UIA Work Programme on architecture and renewable energy sources (ARES) announce the launch of an international ideas competition that invites architects to develop new construction methods and practices for efficient shells and settlement units that will satisfy the urgent housing needs engendered by different geographic, topographic, ecological, social, or political crises.

Update 31 January 2007:
Due to bank transfer electronic system discontinuities the organising and technical committees have decided to extend the deadline for reception of registration fees and professional licenses until Friday, 9th of February 2007 by 22:00pm (GMT + 2 Daylight Saving).
Therefore, the calendar of the competition is shaped as follows:
9 February 2007: Deadline for reception of registration.
12 February 2007: Dissemination of design guidelines and competition documents through the competition web site.
15 February 2007: Opening of submission of competition queries.
The rest of the dates of the competition calendar remain unchanged.
The design guidelines and the competition documents will be made available through the competition website on Monday, 12th of February 2007, only to those who have successfully completed the registration process.
Any uncompleted registrations shall be withdrawn from the competition.

It is recommended to send architects’ license and bank receipt by email or fax.
10 JANUARY 2007
The registration is valid only by submitting the registration fees until the 31st of January 2007.
5 DECEMBER 2006
Each participant (team or individual) has to pay ONLY one registration fee of 100 euro.
23 NOVEMBER 2006
Participating teams are able to add/or change team members after the registration deadline.
1 NOVEMBER 2006
Registration has already started.
2 OCTOBER 2006
UIA announced the launching of the International Architectural Competition.
