The Objectives of the Environmental Education Garden are to: Demonstrate sustainable North Carolina native plant species that attract butterflies, birds, and other wildlife to an urban area. Serve as a training site for environmental educators to teach students about the relationship between plants and wildlife. Encourage state employees to use the garden to further their achievement of Environmental Education Certification. Provide a model garden for other workplaces and homes to emulate. |
