| The activities of the IISR encompass a wide area in Space Research and Applications. Its main objective is to organize and carry out programmes in basic space research, space technology, and applications related to the above fields. Other IISR objectives are : (a) the systematic collection and processing of data derived from observations made either from the earth or space, (b) the performance of autonomous studies in specific subjects of space research and applications, (c) education and (d) rendering of services.
